I feel bad because I’ve really been slacking on the blog this summer, and have been basically nonexistent on social media. But I swear, I have a good excuse! Things have been so busy with Paintspiration, and my personal life has dramatically changed! So let me fill you in…
First, let’s talk business…
Business has been booming in my Amazon shop! Amazon.com opened a new Handmade section last fall, which allows buyers to browse and purchase from Handmade artists. Even better, they allow Handmade artisans to offer products through their Amazon Prime program. I am definitely a Prime addict, so I love that I can participate as a seller now too!
I never could have guessed how big of an impact Amazon could have on my business. I now have a variety of designs available on Amazon which you can get as prints or on mugs– over 100 of which are available through Amazon Prime with free 2 day shipping! Needless to say, this has kept me quite busy!
On a more personal note…
A lot has changed in my life over this summer, and it’s been amazing, stressful, beautiful, chaos.
First, after 7 years of dating, Scott and I finally tied the knot! We had a completely DIY wedding at Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve in New Hope, PA (you better believe I’ll be blogging the crap out of all the DIY projects I did! Thank you, Pintrest!!!)
The time leading up to the wedding was crazy and stressful. I never thought planning and executing a wedding would be so much work, but oh my gosh was it! I’m happy to say that it was all worth it– we had the most beautiful, perfect day, and everything felt very “us.”
On top of the wedding, we decided it was time unpack the backpacks and settle down for a bit. So, Scott and I bought our first house! If you’ve ever bought a house before, you know what a process it is. But now that the move is over, I’m so in love with the house and it feels great to finally set up some roots.
And finally, because a house is not a home without one, we decided to add on to our family! No, not a baby (sorry, mom). We adopted this adorable little furry face from Eleventh Hour Rescue in New Jersey. Meet Brynn:
So now that things have calmed down a bit (and the puppy is napping), I can finally get busy on posting to the blog! Be sure to follow me on Facebook, Instagram, or email to find out about new posts. I can’t wait to share all the new artwork, wedding, and house DIY’s I’ve been doing with you! Oh, and puppy pictures… expect a lot of puppy pictures!
As always, thanks for reading. Feel free to leave me a comment or question below!
